The Toys were an American pop girl group from Jamaica, New York, which was formed in 1961 and disbanded in 1968.
Barbara Harris started singing in her hometown churches at an early age and moved to Queens, New York at the age of eleven. In high school, Harris joined a group with four other young singers: Barbara Parritt (later Toomer), June Montiero, Betty Stokes, and Betty Blocker.
Stokes and Blocker eventually left the group, and Harris, Parritt, and Montiero formed a trio. Bobby Uri, a manager, and friend, named the group The Charlettesand got them to work doing background vocals for several recording artists. At a talent show in Brooklyn, they met Eddy Chase, who in turn introduced them to manager Vince Marc and songwriter/recording executive Bob Crewe. The group became the Toys and landed their first recording contract on Crewe's DynoVoice Records.

Rena Scott (born 1956) is an American soul and R&B artist, from Detroit.
Rena Scott was recognized as a child for her singing ability in church. She performed her first talent show at the age of 13, and afterward her first record "I Just Can't Forget That Boy", was released. She performed during that period as an opening act at local venues for many of the Motown acts like The Temptations, the Four Tops, and The Originals. The highlight of that period was singling back-up for Aretha Franklin at Carnegie Hall.
Her biggest hit came in 1978 with "Take Me I'm Yours", a duet with Michael Henderson. After touring with Henderson on the strength of this, Michael's record company Buddha Records signed her to a record deal and she recorded her first full-length album, Come on Inside, in 1979. The album's only single release – "Super Lover" peaked at #92 in July 1979 on the Billboard R&B Singles Charts. The album was produced by the R&B team Mtume and Reggie Lucas, former jazz musicians who had scored pop hits for Stephanie Mills, Roberta Flack, Donnie Hathaway, Phyllis Hyman, and Lou Rawls.

Paul Melvyn Carrack (born 22 April 1951) is an English singer, songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist who has recorded as both a solo artist and as a member of several popular bands. The BBC dubbed Carrack "The Man with the Golden Voice", while Record Collector remarked: "If vocal talent equaled financial success, Paul Carrack would be a bigger name than legends such as Phil Collins or Elton John."
Carrack rose to prominence in the mid-1970s as the frontman and principal songwriter of Ace, and gained further recognition for his work as a solo artist and for his tenures as a member of Roxy Music, Squeeze and Roger Waters' backing band, The Bleeding Heart Band, intermittently handling lead vocals on Squeeze and Waters recordings. From the mid-1980s to the late 1990s, he enjoyed considerable success as the co-lead singer (with Paul Young) and a songwriter for Mike + The Mechanics; following Young's death in 2000, Carrack served as the band's sole lead vocalist until his departure in 2004. He maintains an active solo career to the present day.

Born into a musical family Chrissy studied voice & soprano singing technique under the tutelage of Miss Joan Partington for four years. On graduating Chrissy diversified from her classical training and began working with her sister Ann, as cabaret duo 'Intuition' they traveled the world together, and for three years were backing singers for Greek star Demis Roussos.
Not satisfied being part of the back line Chrissy decided upon a solo career and accepted a contract in Johannesburg South Africa. Within 6 weeks in SA, she was snapped up by EMI records and was playing a lead in the role in 'Jerry's Girls' on the theatre circuit. More musical theatre followed, Phantom, Music of the Night, Let's Do It, Abba the musical, Evita and J.C superstar.
TV appearances and recording kept Chrissy a popular performer in Southern Africa. She was chosen to open the International A.I.D.S conference where she sang before 60 heads of state and shared the stage with Nelson Mandela.
