After 6 decades of music magic, Certified Gold Disc Awards were given by Sony Music 2012 to Butch Leake, Joe Blunt and Clyde Brown, all members from The Bell / Arista era of The Drifters for CD sales totalling more than 100,000 units.....

In 1974 The Drifters featuring Johnny Moore, Butch Leake, Bill Fredrick's and Grant Kitchings topped the charts at no. 2 with the now classic "kissin In The Backrow Of The Movies" which sold 250,000 units and was certified by BPI British Phonographic Industry.

In 1974 The Drifters featuring Johnny Moore, Butch Leake, Bill Fredrick's and Grant Kitchings topped the charts at no. 2 with the now classic "There Goes My First Love which sold more than 250,000 units and was certified silver by the BPI British Phonographic Industry...

In the late 70s The drifters now featuring Johnny Moore, Clyde Brown, Joe Blunt and Billy Lewis topped the charts at No 5 with the smash hit "Your More Than A Number In My Little Red Book" which sold 250,000 units and was certified silver by The BPI British Phonographic Industry.

In 1960 The Drifters featuring Ben E. King, Charlie Thomas, Elsbeary Hobbs and Doc Green topped the charts at no. 2 with the now classic "There Goes My Baby" which sold a Million record units and was certified gold by The Recording Industry Association of America  (RIAA).
